  • Skilled in Wetland Delineation techniques of Army Corps of Engineers. Familiar with Geographic Information Systems technology. Gained knowledge in Environmental Impact Assessment and NEPA policies.

  • Assisted in managing Cutler Marsh for Pacificorp Energy in Logan, UT. Conducted periodic pasture, bank, and buffer monitoring. Prepared documents for Pacificorp that are submitted to FERC, DWR, USFWS, EPA, etc.

  • Worked directly with Pacificorp’s agricultural lessees concerning irrigation, grazing management, water rights, property rights, etc.

  • Obtained vegetation inventory analysis, plant identification, and soil identification skills. Participated in many field experiments in these disciplines.

  • Acquired ranching knowledge by working on 5 ranches in Texas and Wyoming. Skilled in veterinary techniques, machinery maintenance, farming, irrigation, property maintenance, and grazing management.

LEADERSHIP

  • Coordinating a pro bono community wetland restoration project in Young Ward, UT, located in Cache Valley Utah. Currently assisting the land owners in applying for state and federal grants, acheiving non-profit organization status, and obtaining conservation easement status for their land.

  • Managed 4 employees for non-profit organization. Responsible for management of several bank accounts. Coordinated over $50,000 worth of renovation projects for the facility. Directed 30 or more residents as house parent/manager. Performed conflict resolution between residents daily. Mentored students on numerous issues.

  • Cared for over 80 animals comprised of 8 species at Texas A&M Vet-Med Research Park. Learned valuable skills in range management and animal husbandry. Assisted in research projects from infectious disease to blood donation.

  • Directed troubled teens at Miracle Farm Boys Ranch. Made positive impact in the lives of the residents. Developed invaluable management skills in an extremely stressful and chaotic environment.

  • Active members in the Soil and Water Conservation Society, the International Association for Society and Natural Resource, Society for Range Management, Free and Accepted Masons of Utah, and Utah State Range Club.

SERVICE

  • Member of cross-country cycling team, the Journey of Hope, for the charity PUSH America. Raised $4,000 for people with disabilities. Rode 4,000 miles across U.S. from San Francisco to Washington D.C., to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities. Interacted with hundreds of disabled people across the country.

  • Volunteered with Special Olympics during high school and college.

  • Volunteered with the Literacy Volunteers of America as a reading tutor.
